TedFest Weekend Fundraiser in aid of A Lust For Life

Ted Fest is an annual celebration of the life of comedian Dermot Morgan and his 1990’s TV sitcom Father Ted. The series was created by Graham Linehan and Arthur Matthews. This annual event sees fans traveling from far and wide to take part in the themed events associated with the comedy series. This includes fancy dress, five-aside football nuns against priests, toilet duck comedy awards and the lovely girls contest.

Tea and sandwiches, Ted’s Got Talent and The Craggy Cup were all to be on the agenda for the 12th Annual Father Ted Festival. That was until COVID-19 came along and ruined the party. The good news is that it’s been postponed until October and the event will take place on Inishmore. This festival will either baffle you or make you want to pack up and head for Craggy Island for a few days to experience the madness.

The festival celebrates the cult TV series Father Ted. Anyone familiar with this show will know that means mayhem – chaos and total madness (in the best way!)

How to take part this weekend

The organizers of TedFest have asked that those who want to take part should do the following;

  1. Dress up as your favourite Father Ted character and go for a walk within your 5km this Sunday 28th February.
  2. After your walk, donate the price of a pint to your chosen Irish Charity.

We’re getting involved!

We will be donating €5 or ‘the price of a pint’ from every Father Ted shoutout ordered this weekend. As you may already know, we proudly support A Lust For Life by donating €1 from each order made on our website. We’re delighted to up this for the weekend to raise some much needed funds for this Irish mental health charity.

If you have a friend or family members birthday coming up next month who are fans of the show; why not order in advance and support this fantastic Irish charity while doing so! We have Father Stone, Father Damo, Father Purcell and Eoin McLove available now for personalised video shoutouts. An ideal gift for a Father Ted fan’s birthday, or for someone who is missing out on TedFest weekend.
