Father Purcell from Father Ted
Ben Keaton is best known for his role as Fr Austin Purcell in Father Ted, declared the “world’s most boring priest” by the sitcom’s titular character. “What’s your favourite humming noise?” and home heating options were the high point of Fr Purcell’s conversational prowess. He knew a woman once, but she died soon after.
Ben also starred in Emmerdale and Casualty and is a former winner of the Perrier Comedy Award at the Edinburgh Festival.
